What ShinGig is
ShinGig is a marketplace that connects people who want to book entertainment with acts who want gigs. We are not a talent agency. We don't employ or represent any act listed on the platform.
Your account
You must be 18 or older to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for anything that happens under your account. If you think your account has been compromised, contact us right away.
Bookings
A booking is a direct agreement between the booker and the act. ShinGig facilitates the connection and, when payments are active, holds the deposit. We are not a party to the contract between booker and act, and we are not responsible for either side failing to show up, perform as described, or pay.
Listings
Acts are responsible for keeping their profiles accurate — name, type, price, travel range, and availability. ShinGig may remove listings that are misleading, inactive, or in violation of these terms.
Fees
Browsing and listing are free. When online payments launch, a service fee of 5% will be charged to the booker and 5% to the act on each transaction. The fee covers payment processing and platform maintenance. You'll be notified before any payment feature goes live.
Reviews
Reviews must be honest and based on a real booking through ShinGig. We may remove reviews that are fake, abusive, or unrelated to the actual experience.
Prohibited use
You may not use ShinGig to post fake acts, solicit bookings off-platform to avoid fees, harass other users, or do anything that's illegal. Violations can result in account suspension.
Limitation of liability
ShinGig is provided as-is. We don't guarantee that every act will perform, that every event will go well, or that the platform will be available without interruption. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount of fees you paid to ShinGig in the three months before the issue arose.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a significant change, we'll note it at the top of this page. Continued use of ShinGig after a change means you accept the updated terms.
